Secretary Tillerson has signed a memo exercising his authority under the Hiring Freeze Executive Order to exempt my incoming cohort of Foreign Service Officers from the freeze, thus taking a significant step toward making him my favorite Secretary of State ever.   Our tentative packout date was scheduled for March 1-3, so the next 2 weeks are going to be busy!  It is nice to return to counting down the days in excitement!  That email is my second favorite valentine this year (and it makes my favorite one even more apropos)!
